I am sure many of you can relate to me when I say your holiday is your day to catch up on things. Weekends don't seem to be enough--trying to manage a social life and getting those pressing matters accomplished at the same time is rather difficult. But this is when you are thankful of three-day holidays. You are not only able to pack your weekend with fun but you are also able to use Monday as your day to simple do work. And that is what I am doing today. But I thought I would add this little blog in hopes of living up to my promise of posting more frequently. It has been wonderful going into the classroom everyday. The students are wonderful and my mentor teacher is extremely supportive! It's every student teacher's dream to have this type of experience. Needless to say, I am very lucky!! It is truly hard to believe that we are the end of January. I can't even tell you where the time is going and I definitely feel like I have a lot more to do, but this feeling is good. It's when you feel productive and engaged in what you are doing. That those things you choose to spend your time doing is worth it and serves a purpose in your life that is greater than you ever imagined. While I write up my activities for this week and lesson plans, I feel blessed to be able to live my dream and enjoy what I do everyday, even when you have an off day or one where you don't even get to sit down. This is a beautiful feeling and on this day, where we remember MLK Jr. for all that he taught us through his fight for Civil Rights, I can only take the time to reflect on how fortunate I am to be able to live my dream in hopes of making a difference everyday!
Enjoy your Monday and take the time to catch-up on something that is important to you!
