Living To Do List

Basically my life is made up of to-do lists...whether it is wedding or school, I have this amazing list of things to do.

In a nutshell:

  • School
    1. Student Teaching Application
    2. Start Tutee Sessions (after a difficult time finding one)
    3. Student Teaching Readiness Portfolio
    4. Exhibition Presentation
    5. Read for ESOC
  • Wedding
    1. Finalize Engagement Venue
    2. Finalize Wedding Venue
    3. Pick
      1. Decorators
      2. Photographers
      3. Videographer
      4. Hair/Makeup Artists
      5. Mendhi (Henna) Artist
      6.  etc...
Really, this is just a glimpse, these lists could go on and on. While they are all stressful, because let's face it, it's real life stuff, it's so wonderful at the same time. With school, I am finally taking a step that takes me closer to MY real world. I'll be a TEACHER soon! It's so hard to believe that this next step that my friends and I are embarking on is one that brings us so close to what we have been working so hard for this past year. With the wedding stuff, I never dreamed about what my wedding would be like. If anything, I avoided doing that at all costs. There are pros and cons to that. The pros are: you can do whatever you want without being disappointed, you have endless possibilities, and you get to tie in elements from your family and new family making your wedding very personal. The cons are: everyone expects that you have thought about what you want, you have to do more research, and you have to separate yourself from everyone else so that you can focus on what YOU want. But it's not bad at all. It's an experience that is bittersweet, but more sweet. Through the battles and the arguments, you learn how to make this one day about you and the person you love most. I've come to the understanding that I cannot make everyone happy but I have 13 amazing family members (my family and my new family) that I can't live without making happy. That's my goal.

The moral of this week and of my life in general: God is Good. He has found a way to give me everything I need in the time I need it. He guides me when I am irrational and forces me to introspect. All of the things above are due to His grace. If I took credit for it on my own, I'd be a fool because with my personality, I'd be a madwoman by now. It is amazing how things work out and how sometimes having a little bit of faith can get you so far...

Something worth thinking about!

Happy Friday Everyone! =)
